LAST CHRISTMAS...

last year i took on the christmas cake tradition and baked the first one for the winkwell...


i had decided to practice with royal icing as opposed to the tradition fondant. however, i didn't expect it to be so crunchy, especially after adding glycerine (this is used to help soften the icing)! i think i may stick to fondant icing this year but add a small twist...
