WHOOPIE! THE NEW CUPCAKE...

it is said that the delicious whoopie pie is on the verge of being the new cupcake. it has the aesthetics of a french macaroon and the recipe of any other cupcake. the mixture is spooned onto a flat baking tray and baked until the sponge keeps shape when press. the filling can be anything, from the frosting you would normally use for that particular cupcake batter (buttercream, cream cheese) to condiments such as jam or nutella.


i promised the atlantic girls some of these gorgeous red velvet whoopie pies for christmas. hope they turn out like this. stay tuned!
